From beach to bush, there are lots of beautiful scenic walks to explore on the Gold Coast. Here are a selection of our favourite:

Gold Coast Oceanway
The 36km stretch of pathways from The Spit, down south to Point Danger, is known as the Gold Coast Oceanway. Made up of a series of sections which range up to 4km long. Along the route you'll find public toilets, beach viewing platforms, parks, and bbqs. Popular with walkers, runner and cyclists. Take your time and explore at your leisure.

Burleigh Head National Park:
Offering two different walks, one around the rocky headland and the other more strenuous walk takes the stairs up and over the headland. Both walks offer beautiful scenery with plenty of flaura and fauna to discover. The parkland features rainforest, eucalypt forest, pandanus groves, mangrove, coastal heath and tussock grassland. The headland is great for watching the surf break or spotting whales during the migration season.

Gold Coast Botanic Gardens:
The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens are about a ten minute drive from Surfers Paradise. With 31  hectares to explore, their is an experience for everyone; from the Sensory Garden where you can smell and touch plants to the Butterfly Garden where you can learn which plants can attract butterflies to your own garden. Stroll around the lake on the boardwalks, visit the kids playground or grab a coffee at the onsite cafe. There's loads to explore at Gold Coast Botanic Gardens.

Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk:
Take a 1.5km rainforest walk which includes the Skywalk Bridge (steel structure), the 40m Skywalk Cantilever (steel structure), and the Cedar Creek Viewing Platform, connected by a winding pathway along the canopy floor. Located approximately a 45 minute drive from Surfers Paradise.

There are many other scenic walks to discover on the Gold Coast. For more information Visit Gold Coast.
